Lisa Vanderpump accused of 'not supporting women' as she snubs Ariana & Katie (2024)

LISA Vanderpump has been accused of not supporting women after choosing not to attend the opening of Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney's sandwich shop.

The Bravo stars officially opened their new sandwich shop, Something About Her, on Wednesday.

But when fans saw that Lisa, 63, wasn't in attendance for the pre-opening event last week, some slammed her for choosing not to support Ariana, 38, and Katie, 37.

"LVP really didn’t write even one lil’ Instagram story or post congratulating Katie and Ariana’s business opening, after they have served her brand for over 10 years… she does not support women," one penned on X, formerly Twitter.

"Things she has posted about: TomTom brunches, SUR brunches, DJ James Kennedy at SUR, etc," they continued.

"I think she sent Penny to spy and report back so LVP could mess with A & K," a second theorized of the sandwich shop's chef, Penny Davidi.

"You could see on their faces they had no idea what LVP was talking about so they escaped her nefarious plans for them. The best part is now the viewers are on to her!"

"You nailed it. You could tell during the reunion Ariana Katie + LVP were not vibing. Something went down. They have beef," a third claimed.

"Her Instagram has been active and promoting even TomTom brunches on stories, she could post she is detail oriented she didn’t want to," a fourth noted.

"She just doesn't support Katie & Ariana," a fifth put shortly.

"Or maybe she caught Ariana’s skeptical eye roll when Lisa said that a restaurant that stays open for ten years should be considered a success," another argued.

LISA'S RESPONSE

While appearing on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast this week to promote Season 2 of Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars, Lisa revealed the reason she decided not to attend the pre-open.

“I’m going to give them a minute,” she shared.

“I don’t invite anybody to my restaurants for the first two weeks. I want a minute to sort out all the problems before I say we’re open.

"They’re open, but let’s give them a minute," Lisa explained.

SHOWING SUPPORT

Despite Ariana and Katie inviting friends and family to their opening event last week, onlyTom Schwartzhas publicly promoted Katie and Ariana's new business.

On Wednesday, the actor posted an Instagram Story on an orange background with white text.

"Shout out to @somethingabouther on their grand opening," he penned with a flower emoji.

"Campaign for a muffuletta menu placement begins now."

No other cast members wrote a message of congratulation on social media.

FAN THEORIES

Again, fans raced toX, formerly Twitter, to share their opinions regarding the icy opening response.

"Tom Schwartz gives Something About Her a shout-out on their grand opening. He’s the only one from the #PumpRules cast so far," wrote began.

"The most support he’s ever shown Katie," a second remarked.

"His incessant need to be liked is almost as exhausting as Lala’s…well, just her generally," a third scathed, noting fellow cast member Lala Kent, who was previously ripped by fans for slamming Ariana at the reunion.

"Did any of them go to any of the openings, including the soft openings?? I don’t remember seeing any of them on anyone’s stories. Specifically LVP [Lisa Vanderpump]," a fourth noticed.

"Not surprised about LFU [Lala Kent], [Tom] Scheana, and Sandoval (obviously) not being there, but I thought James Ally Schwartz and LVP would be there."
