I don't see any Edimax routers listed in the forumns.

Will you include these routers for dd-wrt?

Specifically i have just bought a br-6574n

thanks for all the good work guys. dd-wrt rocks.

hi sash

I was searching hi and low but couldn't find anywhere that says what type of chipset is used.

The router i got is an 802.11n per below
http://www.edimax.com/en/produce_detail.php?pl1_id=1&pl2_id=2&pl3_id=122&pd_id=248

I note it does have opensource Linux as the OS which gives me some glimar of hope that dd-wrt may work?

grateful, if you can indicate if there is a compatible version of dd-wrt by looking at the original source code?

This Edimax model uses Ralink RT2880F (266 MHz) in combination with Realtek RTL8366SR Gigabit switch... I think the hardware is the same as in Buffalo WZR-AGL300N. So no luck for now with DD-WRT support.

So do you mean we are going to see a DD-WRT support for this model (Ralink chipset) in a few weeks?

I know this Edimax router has it's source code published on the official website, so are you guys working on support for it.

the buffalo whr-g300n uses the Ralink R3052 chipset which is compatible to the 2880 almost. the ra2880 uses a external switch and has a minipci slot unlike the r3052. i may decide to support more ralink based routers in future, but consider too that the ralink wireless chipset are everything else than good.

I too have an Edimax BR-6574n. The reviews on the Internet look good but the firmware is quite nasty looking and lacking in features. I'm waiting patiently for DD-WRT support!

Cheers!

apparently the Edimax Br-6574N has the same specification with the Asus RT-N15: ralink 2880 cpu, ralink 2860 wireless and realtek RTL8366SR switch.
