The number 3 plug is the third one back from the front of the engine. They are numbered in order 1,2,3,4,5,6 front to back, this is the cylinder numbers not the firing order. Firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4 .

Try to move the steering wheel some and twist the key. Also try to push the key in and twist it. I had an issue where the steering wheel locking would mess up and it took some patience to get it out.

A 2012 would totally be under full warranty. Why would you want to replace when in all likelihood it's covered? And GM wouldn't fix what you should have gotten fixed by them?

Firing order is 1, 5, 3, 6, 2, 4. Number 1 cylinder is up front. Why would you need the firing order, this engine does not have plug wires, each plug has its own coil pack, each coil pack is controlled by the computer.
