Job Summary:
Responsibilities include management of production schedule, customer expectation communications, reports and shipment timing. Manage, materials supply, including a thorough understanding of demand by customer and SKU, MRP reports, material release process, PO confirmations and receipts using SAP. Tracks supplier performance. Responsible for supply management for assigned suppliers, products and facilities, identification of and management of material inventory plans for assigned items, align and coordinate efforts with operations and production planning to ensure timely receipt of all materials and production schedule timing is met for customer. Develop unique inventory plans by category and customer, ensure realization of department goals and objectives, execute and maintain functional best practices. Identify and execute materials cost-effective and efficient acquisition method.

Job Duties:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

As Customer Service:
• Utilizes SAP reports and data for efficient execution of functional responsibilities and objectives. (SAP, BW, VM, Shared Point)
• Enter production schedules, including any required schedule changes in SAP to meet and achieve customer satisfaction and communicate changes to all parties as needed
• Run and analyze MRP, performing analysis of customer demand, sales forecasts and historical material usage to develop and execute forecasting plans
• Ensure products are received on time and are available to fill customer orders to keep supply chain moving and eliminate downtime
• Ensure that internal and external customers’ expectations and requirements are met
• Assist commercialization team in product development and trials.
• Provides weekly/monthly detailed analyzed reports for customers
• Escort visitors for meetings, inspections or testing on products as needed
• Communicate and help coordinate shipments with T&W department and customers
• Attend internal and External customer meetings to discuss next several weeks and shortages of scheduled production resulting from any difficulties
• Build and support BOM (Bill of Material) structure working with Commercialization Team
• Create and define items to be consumed by BOM (Bill of Material)
• Drive timely part setup, BOM releases, BOM changes to support new product introduction as well as changes to existing BOM business.
• Coordinate returns and/ or replacement of products (FG, SEMI FG, RAW PACK)
• Facilitates and manages QN/NCMR completion, closure within 30 days and full financial recovery within 60 days

As Supply Chain Analyst (Procurement):
• Collate purchase orders and purchase requisitions in order to order materials including RFQ’s (Request for Quotes) and track PO confirmations
• Resolve conflicts concerning materials or services at the department and supplier levels (under/over orders, quality and damage)
• Negotiate procurement details with suppliers
• Seek new ideas from suppliers to reduce costs and ensure quality is met internal and external customers
• Maintain files related to purchase orders, suppliers, quotes and other correspondence
• Perform inventories report as required and work with IC to understand its accuracy.
• Build strong relationships with qualified external suppliers
• Develop initiatives to reduce slow moving inventories, excess inventories, obsolete inventory and process improvements to achieve company inventory goals
• Identify and evaluate suppliers that provide the best cost, cost savings, lead time and service to meet our overall business objectives
• Initiate and maintain conference calls with customers as needed
• Manage products extensions request with customer or suppliers
• Daily Reports (Past Due, On Time Delivery, Shortages etc.), monitor, update and call out material losses.
• Eliminates line downtime due to material availability and quality issues.
• Coordinates efficient receipt and movement of materials with third party warehouses.
• Identifies the “right size” for all assigned material inventories.
• Work with internal and external freight resources to ensure timely deliveries of inbound materials at competitive rates.
• Manage inbound freight and freight claims as needed.
• Identifies and drives best practices within total supply chain, including the development of supplier and supply related metrics.
• Coordinates supplier management programs with cross functional HFS resources.
• Tracks, reports and processes quality performance issues for suppliers, works to eliminate supplier related quality issues for all materials.
• Ensures material quotes are up to date.
• Cost card analyses and updates.
• Negotiating prices with chosen vendors and helping with preparing contract documents.
• Participate in quotes if needed or utilizes SIE IQO (quotes) for SAP system updates (routing, speed, crew etc.).

Shipping Specialist- Logistics

JOB SUMMARY
The Shipping Specialist/Logistics Coordinator maintains all the specified paperwork associated with the logistics department at a high level of accuracy. This position is responsible for scheduling inbound and outbound loads while communicating with a wide range of individuals to accomplish this task. This role will communicate with shuttle drivers to ensure the ability to meet all inbound and outbound delivery requirements for the assigned facility. Within the scope of this job all Food Safety requirements and procedures will be followed. Coordinates shipments and deliveries, ensuring that customers get their products and materials when required with all appropriate documentation while minimizing scheduling conflicts in Shipping and Receiving.

*WORK LOCATION: This role resides at the Elk Grove Village building located at 2401 LUNT AVE., ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL 60007

JOB DUTIES
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Food Safety – The Shipping Specialist/Logistics Coordinator will follow and enforce all elements of Food Safety are being met within the plant.
• Process paperwork in SAP accurately and in a timely manner, including processing transfers, sales orders, inbound orders, purchase orders, direct orders, receiving reports, and tally sheets.
• When processing paperwork, will need to include the following: ship to sites, ship from sites, correct locations, code dates, item number, purchase order number, sales order number, trailer number, seal number, foremen initials, Hilo driver initials, trailer inspection completed, completed to yard stamp, completed in SAP stamp, trailer in and trailer out stamp and any other additional processes we may need to add at the discretion of the Company.
• Maintain Yardview efficiently and accurately on a daily basis; complete the trailer movement information completely before and trailer moves are attempted, real time movements are required when moving trailers from our receiving bucket to our yard, real time movements are required when moving a trailer to outbound locations, use the physical trailer check and all shipping and receiving paperwork to update Yardview daily 100% accuracy is required.
• Scheduling appointments: schedule only valid purchase orders that are required to be delivered, input the delivery information into the Yardview Program after the appointment has been confirmed, contact Buyer if more information is needed, MMC orders Production bulk and components on a Material Order Form and ensure orders are delivered in a timely manner to support production.
• Dispatching of shuttle drivers; sending drivers to varied locations to pick-up and deliver the following: transfers and deliveries to CLN warehouses, transfers and deliveries to all other Hearthside facilities, transfers and deliveries to outside storage facilities and must be able to manage shuttle drivers efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES
Knowledge of:
• Procurement, products, and production processes.
• Inbound and outbound logistics.
• Understands basic concept of First In/First Out (FIFO) product rotation.
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).

Skill in:
• Basic to mid-level computer abilities with keyboarding, recordkeeping and follow-up skills.
• Data entry and filing skills. Must be accurate and detail oriented.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Must have good phone and customer service skills.
• Strong ability to multitask.

Ability to:
• Communicate effectively and maintain harmonious working relations with employees from all departments, management from all levels, customers, outside vendors, and truck drivers.
• Work well with others in stressful situations and meet deadlines as necessary.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, employees, and supervisors.

Proficiency in: MS Office Suite and SAP.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent; combination of higher education and experience preferred.
• One (1) to two (2) years related experience in a logistics department accountable for shipping, receiving, and inventory management. Food industry or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English. Bilingual is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in close proximity to others.
• Standing, walking for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds on an infrequent basis.
• Physical and mental ability to work in excess of 40 hours per week.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Work is 70% on the floor and 30% in the office.
• Frequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, forklifts, and fluctuations in temperature.
• May work near moving vehicles or equipment and may be exposed to noise, fumes, airborne particles and vibration.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear. Repetitive bending, stooping and twisting throughout shift.
• Ability to work in variable temperatures and weather conditions.

JOB SUMMARY
The principal accountability of the Account Manager will be instrumental in managing the day-to-day relationship with specific customer base(s) as well as key internal stakeholders, with the intent of delivering sustained profitable growth. • Participate in Customer specific Product Development and Commercialization processes from inception to completion providing regular updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Operate as an extension of the Customers’ networks. Facilitate speed, flexibility, and innovative solutions. Facilitate cross-functional engagements between Customer and the Hearthside team to create mutually beneficial solutions.
• Assist in creating and executing Customer specific account plans to grow sales in line with company strategy. Includes assisting in budget, forecasting, growth and pricing plans..

Job Summary:
To effectively manage the commercialization process by coordinating, directing and managing internal and external resources. To have a deep understanding of equipment capabilities to be able to guide discussions with customers.

Job Duties:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
• Develop timelines and monitor the project to ensure that timelines are met. This includes taking immediate action with those departments that are behind schedule.
• Coordinate and distribute project information between departments identifying key problem areas, proposing solutions and collaborating with other areas/departments for resolution.
• Analyze project data to identify potential issues/problems that could occur prior to finalizing the project schedule and timeline. Proactively determine a solution to avoid the situation by working with the respective department to ensure that the solution is implemented.

Collaborate with customers to scope new items for best plant and line fit for optimal solutions.

• Coordinate and oversee plant trials including inbound materials, document preparation and interfacing with operations.
• Ensure HFS’s test and trial billing estimates and final actuals are issued to customer.
• Ensure accuracy of all documentation associated with project including process sheets, BOMs and pricing.
• Attend vendor and customer meetings as required.

Job Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for storing, moving, and handling products and materials. Material Handlers work in a structured work environment to minimize safety risks. Material Handlers will need to be reliable and able to work with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) at all times.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identifies, transports, packs, removes and disposes of products and materials.
• Operates forklifts, handcarts, or pallet jacks to pick, replenish, shuttle, and load/unload orders.
• Maintain inventory levels as directed.
• Feed lines with product as scheduled or directed by supervision or line leads.
• Ship and receive materials throughout duration of shift.
• Operate all equipment in a safe manner.
• Count, weigh, record numbers of units or materials moved or handled.
• Ensure that product moved is identified and labeled correctly.
• Perform required housekeeping to maintain 5S and keep work areas clean, such as sweeping floors, putting trash into containers, and picking stray product up from the floor.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Must be knowledgeable in GMPs or the willingness to learn.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 90 days.
• Ability to operate stand-up and extended forklifts.
• Sufficient math skills .
• Must have the ability to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and write in English preferred.

Job Qualifications & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Previous Material Handling experience a plus, varies by location.

Work Environment:
• This is a manufacturing environment and there will be an exposure to a variety of machines, noise levels, and varying temperatures.
• This is a team environment; Material Handlers must be able to work together and communicate in a respectful and professional manner.
• Must be able to work necessary overtime based on staffing needs and customer demand, as well as across shifts.

Physical Requirements:
• Reaching with hands/arms throughout the day.
• Ability to lift up to 90lbs assisted and 40lbs unassisted.
• Ability to stand up to 80% of the time scheduled.
• Ability to walk, climb and/or balance throughout shift.
